As part of Bouygues Construction's Public Works division, VSL International participates in the construction of major technical structures and guarantees their structural safety and durability: transport infrastructure (bridges, tunnels), industrial and energy production structures, and commercial buildings.

Your role

We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Junior Mechanical Engineer eager to take part in VSL’s heavy lifting division, gaining hands-on experience from project planning to on-site execution.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and preparing the method statement for site operations.
  • Preparing the equipment in the workshop.
  • Organizing the dispatch of equipment to project sites, typically abroad and worldwide.
  • Supporting the site team in planning, assembling, and executing heavy lifting operations on-site, followed by dismantling, return shipping, and storage of the equipment.
  • Managing accounting, invoicing, and cost control processes. 

 

Profile sought

  • Degreee in Civil or Mechanic engineering
  • Good command of the MS Office and Autocad
  • 3D sketching capabilities would be a plus
  • Structural understanding
  • Good command of English
  • 2nd languages would be a plus
  • Team player
  • Flexible to travel and being away from home
  • Independent and able to take pressure
