About us

We are a global specialist construction company and a recognized expert in post-tensioning and structural technologies. With 70 years of experience, we help build, preserve, and transform some of the world’s most ambitious structures, from bridges and high-rises to tanks and wind towers. As a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction,
we operate in 25+ countries, combining creative engineering, proprietary systems, and full-scope execution to
deliver durable, high-performance solutions.

At VSL Canada, we partner with clients to design, build, maintain, and upgrade critical infrastructure, across transport, energy, and industrial sectors. We deliver complex infrastructure projects across Canada and are committed to safety, integrity, and excellence.

VSL's business is based on four areas of expertise:

  •  Structural systems and technologies
  •  Civil engineering

  •  Preservation, structural repairs, renovation and optimization of structures.

The role

We are seeking a Contract Manager to provide contract management and business development support on commercial, core business projects. In this role, the contract manager will draft, execute and manage the entire contract lifecycle; ensure all contractual accountability and duties are met; perform periodic reviews of contracts and offer resolutions when needed; educate stakeholders about their rights and responsibilities as per the conditions laid in the contract; and establish a contract management system to regulate the contract management workflow.

What you’ll do

  • Draft, monitor and review contracts across various verticals and scales.
  • Provide essential contract management services, by resolving conflicts, providing legal advice and renewing and redrafting contracts.
  • Actively participate to contract negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and rules
  • Supervise the performance of the contract and work towards compliance with the terms and conditions mentioned in it, including support in disputes and claims.
  • Prepare reports and documentation on the contract performance and run them by the senior contract manager (if any).
  • Update and revise contracts as per the dynamic national legal regulations.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on the status of the contracts.

What we’re looking for

  • Individuals must be willing to travel within Canada and elsewhere as needed.
  • Relevant experience working as a contract manager or a related job role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration, or a similar discipline.
  • MRICS or CIQS membership and/or certification or specialization in contract law.
  • Proficiency in contract law and contract drafting.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills, high attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
