About the Role
As a Concrete Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all concrete related activities within the project. This role ensures that concrete works, including foundations, slab pours, precast elements, formwork, reinforcement placement, and quality assurance are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed concrete work schedules, including pours, delivery timelines and sequencing of reinforcement and formwork.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and Subcontractors to align concrete activities with overall project milestones.
- Oversee day-to-day concrete operations, including formwork erection, reinforcement installation, batching, delivery, pumping and pouring.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor readiness prior to pours and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Liaise with concrete suppliers, pump operators and finishing crews to ensure seamless workflow.
- Identify and report any defects, surface issues, or non-conforming works (based on quality control responsibilities)
- Maintain accurate records of pours, deliveries, sampling logs, site diaries, and quality reports.
- Prepare daily progress updates and communicate milestones, risks and issues to Project Management.
- Ensure all concrete operations comply with building codes, environmental requirements and WHS standards.
Qualification & Experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills to work effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and site crews
- High attention to detail, particularly around quality checks, record‑keeping and monitoring site readiness
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced construction environment with changing priorities
- Basic computer skills for updating daily reports, logs and site documentation
- Willingness to conduct regular site inspections and coordinate activities across different teams
Salary range: 80,000 - 90,000 AUD per annum (before tax)
