The Role
As Crane / Lift Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all crane and lifting operations across the T2D Project. You will lead site teams to ensure lifts are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all legislative, project, and company requirements. Working closely with project management, subcontractors, and operators, you will develop and implement lift plans, conduct pre-lift briefings, monitor live lifting activities, and drive a strong safety culture. Your leadership and technical expertise will play a critical role in minimising risk, improving productivity, and delivering successful outcomes on this major infrastructure project.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all crane and lifting operations on site
- Prepare, review, and implement lift plans, SWMS, and risk assessments
- Lead and coordinate crane operators, riggers, dogmen, and subcontractors
- Conduct pre-starts, pre-lift meetings, and toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, project standards, and company procedures
- Inspect cranes, lifting equipment, and rigging gear for certification and safety compliance
- Monitor live lifts and intervene to maintain safe systems of work
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards and implement corrective actions
About You
- Proven experience as a Crane / Lift Supervisor on major civil or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of lift planning, load charts, and rigging practices
- Hold a High Risk Work Licence (Crane)
- Current Dogging and Rigging licence (Intermediate or Advanced preferred)
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Strong leadership skills with a proactive, safety-first approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to perform under pressure
