About the Role

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will report to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and play a key role in managing geotechnical and civil engineering risks and developing and assist in creating design solutions for excavations, earth retaining structures, foundation systems and ground improvement projects. 

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold the T2D Project Values
• Assist in conducting site investigations, data collection, mapping and geotechnical testing
• Actively undertake daily observations for geotechnical risks, during the construction of Key Structures and report these risks if observed.
• Prepare basic calculations, drawings, and technical reports under supervision.
• Undertake instrument and monitoring assessments of ground movements with the progression of construction.
• Review and assess temporary and permanent works design drawings and reports of a specific structure.
• Report, promote and ensure compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing, and professional development activities.
• From time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as reasonably directed and within your skills, competencies, and capabilities.
• Contribute to developing design geotechnical models, stability analyses, and material characterisations.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Science Geology. ­    
• Progression of professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered status with Engineers Australia).
• Competency in geotechnical design software, soil/rock mechanics, or earthwork, soil and rock laboratory testing methods and analysis.
