The BIM Manager will be responsible for the leadership, implementation, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes on the prestigious Sharaan Resort #1 Project in KSA.
The BIM Manager will ensure that BIM workflows are aligned with project objectives and contractual requirements, overseeing the coordination and integration of all disciplines within the digital design and construction environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific BIM Execution Plan in alignment with client requirements, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings, facilitate collaboration between architecture, engineering, and construction teams, and resolve any model-related issues.
- Manage and monitor the quality, accuracy, and completeness of BIM models submitted by consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee model federations, clash detection, and reporting to support constructability reviews, scheduling, and cost estimation.
- Liaise with the project team and stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange and integration across all project phases.
- Establish BIM protocols, workflows, and standards tailored to the Sharaan Resort #1 project, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Provide training, guidance, and technical support to internal and external team members on BIM-related processes and tools.
- Maintain documentation of BIM deliverables, revisions, and approvals throughout the design and construction stages.
- Prepare and submit regular BIM progress reports to project management and client representatives.
- Assist in the procurement and adoption of BIM technologies, software, and hardware as required for the project.
- Collaborate with IT and digital project leads to ensure data security and model integrity.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in BIM management, ideally on Underground tunneling / building projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrable experience in leading BIM teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary models.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Proficiency in BIM software platforms, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and related tools.
- Strong understanding of international BIM standards (ISO 19650, PAS 1192, etc.) and KSA local codes/regulations.
- Familiarity with digital construction workflows, including 4D scheduling and 5D cost estimation, is preferred.
