The Excavation Documentation Support Engineer will coordinate and review excavation documentation outputs from production activities to ensure they are complete, consistent, and aligned with project requirements. He/She will support the preparation including supporting logs, drawings, and related documentation used for reporting and stakeholder review. The role will verify that field updates are reflected accurately in the project documentation package and will flag discrepancies for timely correction. He/She will collaborate with site teams and production coordinators to capture changes, maintain document versions, and support efficient documentation handover. The incumbent will also assist in preparing documentation for audits and internal quality checks, ensuring traceability from execution to records.
- Experience supporting excavation documentation in construction/production environments, ideally with demonstrated familiarity with site documentation workflows.
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation practices (as-built/record drawings, logs, version control, and document traceability) in a production setting.
- Proficiency in document control processes and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (site, production, and quality/document control) and communicate clearly in a fast-moving environment.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, excavation/eartworks terminology, and typical reporting requirements used in construction projects.
- Relevant computer skills for documentation preparation and maintaining organized project records (e.g., drawing/document management and reporting tools).
