Job Description
 
  • Oversee daily lifting and rigging operations across project and plant activities
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved lifting plans and procedures
  • Coordinate with site teams, crane operators, riggers, and HSE personnel to plan and execute lifting activities effectively
  • Inspect lifting equipment and verify that lifting gear and machinery are fit for use before operations commence
  • Monitor work practices and ensure compliance with safe lifting standards
  • Conduct toolbox talks with site teams
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Maintain operational records related to lifting activities
  • Support incident investigations related to lifting operations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of site safety performance

 

Requirements
 
  • Practical experience in mechanical, construction, or heavy lifting operations 
  • Proven experience supervising lifting and rigging activities in construction, industrial, or plant environments 
  • Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, load handling, and lifting equipment inspection requirements 
  • Ability to interpret lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements 
  • Familiarity with HSE regulations and safe work permit systems applicable to lifting operations 
  • Effective communication and coordination skills when working with operators, riggers, and site teams 
  • Relevant lifting supervision or rigging certification/training preferred 
  • Ability to work in demanding site conditions and support urgent operational requirements
