Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor (starting approximately in June 2026 College day release will start from September) to join a bustling and welcoming commercial project team. You will work on one of our building projects based in the Greater London or Cambridge area. This apprenticeship offers valuable hands-on experience, allowing you to work alongside experienced professionals while contributing to a significant project
Education Criteria:
One of the educational levels required listed below :
- A Level BBB or
- BTEC National Diploma DDM or
- Access to HE qualifications with 24 Distinctions 21 Merits or
- Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 128 UCAS points
- Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)
Essential Skill set:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours to complete university work/further learning
- Interest in the Construction industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Attention to detail
Job Purpose and Scope
- Observe subcontractor tender reviews and assist with M&E design costs
- Attend meetings with team and MEP Contractors for project planning and coordination
- Assist in reviewing Contractors' designs, programmes, and progress
- Learn to monitor and report on procurement and labour schedules
- Shadow experienced colleagues during Method / Risk / Health and Safety reviews
- Support monitoring and coordinating M&E design information flow
- Assist in preparing technical specifications, design reports, and innovative solutions
- Manage input to Building Information Modelling software for design work
