Your role

We are seeking a technically proficient and field-oriented Electromechanical Supervisor to oversee VSL heavy lifting operations on international construction projects. 

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Maintenance of VSL equipment at site

  • Safe operation of equipment

Preparation & Testing of Heavy Lifting equipment in the workshop

Supervision of VSL activities

  • Identify and teach local workers as required
  • Technical supervision of VSL site activities

  • Leadind to the tema to achieve goals

  • Assure safety for VSL scope of works

Involved in Project Planning

Site Management

  • Coordination with clients

  • Organize and manage site setup

  • Planning of works and required resources

  • Complete and manage work reports and protocols

  • Communication with VSL Project Manager

Feedback from site operations

 

Profile sought 

Qualifications

  • Professional training

  • Technical background

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction or equipment operations

Personal Competencies

  • Strong communication and team spirit

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus

  • Open-minded, culturally adaptable, and willing to travel (~60% of the time)

  • Available for missions ranging from a few days to several months

  • Independent, reliable, and able to perform under pressure

  • Flexible regarding working hours 

  • Capable of leading and motivating

  • Fit for physical work on construction sites and not afraid of heights

Technical Skills 

  • Good mechanical knowledge and structural understanding

  • Flair for hydraulics

  • Knowledge of electrics

  • Comfortable working with technical documentation
