Role Purpose: 

As part of our engineering team, you will assist with design process coordination, planning, and programming requirements for assigned work packages. Your focus will be on ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the production of method statements and risk assessments for approval by supervising engineers.
  • Provide dimensional control and undertake as-built surveys for your section of work.
  • Ensure accurate recording and communication of survey results.
  • Manage survey equipment calibration to avoid dimensional control errors.
  • Implement Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring all steps are witnessed and documented.
  • File and maintain engineer’s drawings and specifications, ensuring current information is always available.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to the workforce and liaise with all support services.

 

About You:

  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete.
  • Experience using EDM/Total Station is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to process adherence and waste minimisation.

 

Education & Qualifications:

  • A 2:1 degree or above in Civil Engineering or similar

 

You will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two-year structured training scheme. The programme is designed to enhance and develop soft skills and technical capability through a blend of classroom-based learning and on the job training.  Our programme offers a balance of training and on the job learning to support your transition to becoming an accomplished professional.

 

Graduates will take responsibility and accountability for their careers, while we offer guidance and support to help you reach your goals. We will support your route to chartership and give you the opportunity to develop different skill sets outside of your specialism.  The duration of the graduate programme will be spent on the BYLOR project with the potential to see different aspects of the project in this time.
