Bouygues Energies & Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Manager/Head of HR to be based in our Bristol office in Bradley Stoke and the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater.
Bouygues Energies & Services has been awarded the EPC Turnkey contract for the emergency diesel generators of the new Hinkley Point C nuclear reactor - an exceptional project, technically complex, with significant human and organisational challenges
Your Role
As Senior HR Manager / Head of HR, you will be a key member of the management team, ensuring both operational excellence and the HR strategy for all staff (150 employes).
- You will ensure legal compliance (including NAECI, blue-collar legislation, and migrant sponsorship rules), manage industrial relations in a unionized environment, and lead HR initiatives to foster engagement, performance, and talent development.
- You will work closely with the project leadership while benefiting from support from HR teams in the UK and France. A dedicated HR team is planned as the project grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workforce administration under NAECI agreements and blue-collar legislation
- Lead both operational teams and support functions
- Design and implement communication and consultation strategies with employee representatives and unions
- Support managers in performance management, conflict resolution, and change management
- Ensure compliance of HR practices and application of company policies
- Develop continuous improvement and HR innovation initiatives
- Provide relevant HR data analysis to support decision-making
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll data submission
Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills
- Proven expertise in HR management, particularly in managing migrant workers and UK sponsorship procedures
- Strong command of NAECI agreements and blue-collar legislation
- Experience in both operational and strategic roles in complex, regulated environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and HR project management skills
- Excellent communication, influence, and negotiation abilities
- Autonomy, organization, and initiative
- Good knowledge of labor law and ability to manage industrial relations agendas
Additional Assets
- MCIPD qualification or equivalent
- Experience in construction, engineering, or nuclear sectors
- Residence near Bristol/HPC with weekly mobility
- Valid driving license
