Information at a Glance

Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub-Agent to join us on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, supporting the delivery of Sizewell C.

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), we are playing a pivotal role in building Sizewell C — a 3.2-gigawatt power station that will generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. This is a landmark project that will help shape the UK’s energy future, providing reliable, clean power for at least 60 years.

This particular opportunity is based at our Avonmouth hub, which will act as the main offsite facility for the Marine & Tunnel works. With mobilisation already underway, this site will be critical in delivering precast and prefabricated elements that will form part of the permanent works- making this a unique chance to get involved at an early and highly influential stage.

In this role, we are looking for someone who can support the Site Agent and Project Manager in leading the site setup works — from enabling and temporary works through to full coordination of delivery. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day engineering supervision, managing engineers and subcontractors while ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme milestones.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Leading engineering supervision across site setup activities
• Developing and coordinating method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation
• Planning and coordinating work fronts with multiple stakeholders
• Managing subcontractors and supporting commercial and planning functions
• Monitoring health & safety standards through regular site inspections
• Identifying and mitigating risks across design, sequencing, and delivery

Key competencies
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide engineering teams on site
• Clear and confident communication, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capability
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• High level of accountability and ownership in delivering work packages
• Strong focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of programme delivery and cost control
• Collaborative approach, building effective relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams

To be successful, you’ll bring a strong background in heavy civils, ideally with experience in enabling and foundation works. You’ll already be operating at Sub-Agent or Senior Engineer level, with the confidence to lead teams, make decisions, and drive progress on complex projects. Strong communication, leadership capability, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset are essential.

This is an opportunity to be part of a ‘once in a generation’ project, working within a collaborative alliance that brings together global expertise from major infrastructure leaders.
