Bouygues UK has a fantastic opportunity available for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work on an education scheme in the Cardiff area.
Job Purpose and Scope:
- To be the Commercial Lead for a large-scale project, taking ownership for maximising commercial results and exceeding client expectations to encourage repeat business.
Accountabilities and key tasks:
- To optimise the project’s net profitability and cash performance.
- Lead & manage & advise on matters relating to Client Contract & Value.
- Lead & manage the Procurement of Subcontractors and the Contractual & Financial management of Subcontractors.
- Lead in the identification and management of risks and opportunities.
- Provide accurate reports and forecasts of activity and net margin, utilising company tools & procedures.
- Collaborate with the Production Director & keep the Commercial Director briefed on key issues and concerns.
- To develop and manage commercial team members.
About You:
- In depth commercial experience with a main contractor
- Strong commercial awareness and focus on results
- Advanced technical, legal and commercial knowledge
- Experience of managing and avoiding disputes
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produce accurate work
- Proactive and confident communicator & shares knowledge
