BYCA is seeking an experienced O&M Electrician to support the safe, reliable operation of a utility scale Solar Farm in NSW. Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across AC/DC systems, support subcontractor activities, and uphold strong safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive and corrective maintenance on AC/DC and mechanical systems
- Supervise subcontractors and support defect rectification
- Oversee site visitors and ensure safety compliance
- Maintain high standards of HSQE performance
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organisation, independence and problem‑solving
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Team‑focused approach
- Experience with HV, SCADA, IT, PV or automation (advantage)
Work Arrangements
- 10-4 roster or 5-2
- 76-hours per fortnight (38h/week)
- On-call duties, allowance + call out hours paid
- Overtime via time-in-lieu reimbursements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in electrical industries
- Solar O&M or EPC experience highly desirable
- Background in power station operations/maintenance
- Knowledge of automation or industrial networking (advantage)
Licences & Qualifications
- NSW Electrical Licence
- Unrestricted driver’s licence
- HV and plant operating tickets desirable
- First Aid/LVR/CPR (training provided if needed)
