We are looking for a Commercial Lead (M&E) as we expanding our team for a specific project based in Jersey. In this role you will lead our MEP Unbundled strategy which reduces our reliance on the external market supply, aiming to ensure better quality, safety, and control over project timelines.
Role Summary:
As Commercial Lead you will direct the financial, contractual, and operational health of projects, overseeing budgeting, procurement, and risk management to ensure profitability. Other aspects will include manage supplier relationships, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, acting as a strategic partner in business growth
Your skills profile should include the following:
- Proven experience at Managing/Lead Quantity Surveyor level with a main contractor
- Leading the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages
- Degree other technical qualification/ RICS / CIOB qualification
- Overseeing procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Contract administration under NEC, JCT, or bespoke forms of contract
- Managing project budgets, cost reporting, and forecasting
- Identifying, managing, and mitigating commercial risks
- Valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts
- Leading and mentoring al QS and commercial staff
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial success
- Supporting bid and pre-construction teams with commercial input where required
- Strong commercial awareness
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work
- Communicates information and ideas proactively and confidentially in a way which is received positively, both verbally and in writing
