Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Timekeeper to join the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) and play a key role in the construction of Sizewell C—a new 3.2-gigawatt power station that will generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, shaping the UK’s energy landscape for the next 60 years.

As Timekeeper, you will be central to supporting a workforce of approximately 1,000 site and remote personnel. You’ll ensure every hour is accurately recorded, supporting efficient payroll processes, and providing assurance across all aspects of staff costing and reconciliation.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the prompt submission and validation of daily and weekly timesheets for all project staff
  • Ensure timesheet entries are accurate, complete and compliant with project protocols
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members to resolve any data inconsistencies
  • Maintain and manage timekeeping records in the designated construction management system, ensuring alignment with HR databases
  • Reconcile hours worked with approved rosters, overtime logs and leave records
  • Generate regular reports on timesheet status and escalate delays or anomalies to senior management
  • Liaise with site supervisors, HR and payroll teams to enable smooth payroll processing
  • Maintain auditable records to meet project requirements and industry standards
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate and timely documentation
  • Assist in developing and refining timekeeping procedures, and onboard and train site teams on time entry protocols
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and key performance indicator reporting
  • Play an active part in creating interactive dashboards and supporting the Finance team in real-time reporting
  • Provide proactive support to internal and external stakeholders, resolving queries as required

To be successful, you will need:

  • Previous experience in timekeeping or site administration within the construction industry
  • Strong familiarity with construction timekeeping systems such as Timesheet Portal, Causeway, COINS or SAP
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage high volumes of data accurately
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to follow-up and problem-solving
  • Understanding of working hours regulations, site access controls, and payroll processes
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry and the challenges facing a major project like Sizewell C

This is an opportunity to be part of a diverse, collaborative team making a lasting contribution to a nationally significant project. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are ready to support the operational success of Sizewell C, please click the following link to apply.
