Job Overview
You will work as part of the Accounting Reporting Team reporting into Finance Manager and supervising a Junior Assistant Financial Accountant. The role will involve you preparing the month end, quarter end and year end reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
- ACCA Part Qualified
- Accounting experience - VAT and Corporate Experience (advantageous)
- Excellent communicator
- Capacity to work alone and as part of a team
- Strong Microsoft office knowledge
- Accurate and good attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and time management
- Experience using SAP
- Analytical approach and problem solver
- Strong technical knowledge (IFRS & double entries)
- Experience of preparing yearly financial statement (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly ledger reconciliations
- Preparing and posting journals
- Monthly balance sheet revaluation
- Agree month end and quarter end timetable with cost control
- Monthly reconciliation of the P&L to the management accounts
- Monthly National Statistic Survey
- Preparation of month end, quarter end and year end reporting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS (including IFRS 15 and 16)
- Review postings and invoices to identify and evaluate tax implications (VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE)
- Quarterly group reporting
- Preparation of yearly financial accounts
- Preparation of documentation for additional reporting and Audit
- Assist Management with group audit and statutory audit
- Prepare tax packs for manager review
- To support the SSC management and other accounts teams when required
