About the Role

 

As a Senior Procurement Advisor, you will provide strategic leadership and expert guidance in procurement planning, sourcing, and contract management for major construction and infrastructure works. You’ll ensure compliance with governance frameworks, drive value-for-money outcomes, and support organisational objectives through effective supplier engagement, risk management, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead complex procurement activities, including tender strategy, evaluation, and contract negotiations.Develop and maintain procurement schedules and frameworks aligned with project milestones.Manage high-value contracts and supplier relationships to optimise performance and mitigate risk.Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on procurement planning and commercial negotiations.Champion probity, compliance, and ethical procurement practices.Mentor and support procurement team members to build capability and deliver excellence.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Extensive experience in strategic procurement and contract management within complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, governance, and risk frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage high-value supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or related discipline (postgraduate and MCIPS certification desirable).
