Sizewell C (SZC) is at the heart of the UK’s clean energy revolution. This ground-breaking nuclear power plant project in Suffolk will play a vital role in delivering a sustainable future. Backed by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation project with significant opportunities to innovate, grow, and deliver excellence.

Position

We are seeking two Cost Control Assistants on a 3-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) on the Sizewell C site. These roles will provide essential financial and administrative support during the transition period prior to the full mobilisation of the Finance team.

The Cost Control Assistants will play a key role in ensuring accurate cost tracking, timely data entry, and effective coordination with site teams to maintain financial control in a fast-paced construction environment.

Main Responsibilities

Cost Control & Financial Support

  • Assist the Cost Controller with daily cost monitoring and tracking

  • Input and maintain cost data accurately within SAP

  • Support the preparation of cost reports and financial documentation

Invoice & Documentation Management 

  • Verify invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness

  • Ensure all financial records are correctly filed and auditable

Coordination & Site Liaison

  • Coordinate with site teams to collect, validate, and clarify financial information
  • Support communication between cost control and operational teams

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Cost Controller

Profile Sought

Education & Experience

  • Basic accounting or finance knowledge

  • Previous experience in a cost control, finance, or administrative role is desirable

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Familiarity with SAP is essential

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Good organisational and time-management skills

Other Requirements

  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application

  • Willingness to work on-site at Sizewell C, Suffolk
