Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

We are recruiting a Design Coordinator to join us within the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), working on the Marine & Tunnelling (M&T) portion of the Sizewell C project in Suffolk.

As part of the CWA, we’re supporting the delivery of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. This is a nationally significant infrastructure project that will play a critical role in the UK’s energy future, providing reliable, clean power for at least 60 years.

In this role, I’m looking for someone who can support the technical delivery of complex designs across marine and tunnelling interfaces. You’ll work closely with our Design Management team, external consultants and supply chain partners to ensure permanent works designs are coordinated, reviewed and delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the design process across design, methods, construction and supply chain teams

  • Supporting design reviews, technical queries and requests for information

  • Managing and maintaining accurate design documentation and registers

  • Supporting CDM risk management, safety and constructability reviews

  • Assisting with programme reviews, reporting and forecasting

  • Ensuring clear communication of design changes and technical requirements

  • Supporting the review of method statements, risk assessments and inspection and test plans

About you:

  • Relevant experience in a contractor-led, technically complex environment

  • Experience working with multiple consultants and stakeholders

  • Strong coordination, communication and relationship-building skills

  • Knowledge of BIM and excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office essential)

  • Working towards or holding professional membership with ICE or equivalent

  • Knowledge of tunnelling and reinforced concrete structures is advantageous

You’ll be based at the Sizewell C Project Office / Site, working in a highly collaborative team that values diversity, inclusion and professional development.

If you’re looking to contribute to one of the UK’s most important infrastructure programmes and want to play a hands-on role in shaping a low-carbon energy future, click the link to apply and join us at the CWA.
