The Civil Works Alliance are recruiting a Digital Engineering Co-ordinator, supporting the delivery of one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes – Sizewell C.

As part of the CWA, we are delivering critical civil works in support of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. Sizewell C will play a vital role in the UK’s energy future, providing reliable, clean power for at least 60 years. This is an opportunity to apply your digital engineering expertise on a project of genuine national importance.

The Digital Engineering Co-ordinator will be embedded within the Marine and Tunnelling team and will play a key role in implementing the project’s Digital Strategy and Digital Execution Plan. We are looking for a professional who can coordinate digital delivery across design, construction and handover, ensuring that models and data meet the Employer’s Information Requirements and project standards. Working between our offices in Orwell and London.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating digital delivery processes and managing the Project Information Model throughout the construction lifecycle.

  • Implementing digital processes, culture and technology across design, construction and handover stages.

  • Federating models within the Common Data Environment to support coordinated, model-based reviews.

  • Reviewing model compliance, undertaking quality assurance, clash detection and data validation, and managing issue resolution.

  • Supporting the delivery of graphical, non-graphical and document information in line with the BIM Execution Plan.

  • Supporting the integration of programme (4D), cost (5D) and asset data (6D) into digital models, including as-built information for handover and commissioning.

  • Educating and supporting project teams and the supply chain in the use of digital tools, standards and workflows.

  • Developing and improving digital ways of working to increase efficiency, enhance quality, improve sustainability and support Zero Harm objectives.

Key competencies and experience required:

  • Proven experience in digital engineering or BIM delivery within a design or construction environment.

  • Strong capability in model authoring, coordination and review tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Tekla and Synchro.

  • A solid understanding of BIM processes, Common Data Environments and industry standards including BS and PAS.

  • Experience working with 3D, 4D and 5D models, model compliance, clash detection and data management.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively under time pressure.

  • A proactive approach to learning, professional development and supporting the digital upskilling of others.
