As part of the CWA, you will be joining a partnership of industry leaders including Sizewell C, Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics, and Laing O’Rourke. Our combined expertise is driving the delivery of Sizewell C, a new 3.2-gigawatt power station that will provide reliable, low-carbon electricity to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to help shape the UK’s clean energy future.

In this PSC Manager role, you will:

  • Oversee the performance and management of CWA-wide works packages delivered by technical service partners, both internal and external to the alliance
  • Take responsibility for scopes that include Temporary Works Design, Permanent Works Designers, and other specialist engineering services
  • Provide direct support to the Professional Services Lead and work collaboratively with Design Managers, Technical Leads, Commercial and Procurement teams, and Data Analysts
  • Drive procurement activities for PSC technical service providers, ensuring selection and onboarding processes are robust and inclusive
  • Ensure that performance is closely monitored with validated KPIs and reporting dashboards
  • Review designer contract performance and implement feedback loops for ongoing improvement
  • Embed rigorous technical and project management standards across all service providers, ensuring effective management of any issues affecting delivery
  • Gain a deep understanding of the technical, assurance and governance needs of the highly regulated nuclear environment
  • Actively engage with multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of right-first-time designs on schedule

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To be a qualified engineer or have an equivalent level of technical expertise
  • Experience in engineering and design management, with a proven record of delivering technical services
  • Strong procurement skills and a collaborative, organised approach to coordination and management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well across diverse teams
  • (Desirable) An understanding of construction environments, familiarity with major design consultancies or contractors, and experience with multidisciplinary designs

We are seeking candidates who are committed to excellence, thrive in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment, and are passionate about delivering a project that will have a positive, lasting impact for generations to come.
