Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

We’re hiring a Project Manager to lead critical works on one of the UK’s most ambitious clean energy projects: Sizewell C.

At the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), we’re helping to deliver Sizewell C — a 3.2GW nuclear power station that will provide reliable, low-carbon electricity to 6 million homes for at least the next 60 years. Backed by a powerful partnership between Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics, Laing O’Rourke, and Sizewell C, we’re building more than a power station — we’re building a legacy of sustainable infrastructure.

We’re now looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple high-value construction portions within the Suffolk project area. This is a heavy civils-focused role — you’ll be delivering complex, multi-disciplinary works across major earthworks (cut & fill), platform installation, drainage, FRC slabs, water management, and infrastructure installation, all within a live and dynamic construction environment.

This is a leadership position requiring a proactive, strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day delivery with long-term vision. You’ll be driving safety, productivity, quality, and team development — and bringing a hands-on approach to solving problems in one of the UK’s most exciting construction programmes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the safe and efficient delivery of assigned construction portions to programme and budget.

  • Managing teams across multiple disciplines, ensuring resources are aligned with programme and safety priorities.

  • Setting clear KPIs across HSE, quality, productivity, and cost performance, and driving progress against these targets.

  • Delivering technical excellence in heavy civils, including platform construction, earthworks, drainage, sheet piling, and reinforced concrete works.

  • Supporting collaborative engagement with internal and external stakeholders — including the client and partner organisations.

  • Taking ownership of operational challenges, championing continuous improvement, and coaching junior staff for long-term development.

  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory consents, environmental permits and nuclear safety protocols.

  • Leading risk reviews, cost control meetings, and driving mitigation strategies for both commercial and delivery risks.

What we’re looking for:

Essential experience and competencies:

  • Demonstrable experience managing large-scale heavy civil engineering packages on major infrastructure projects.

  • Strong knowledge of live construction environments, ideally in nuclear, marine, rail, or similar regulated sectors.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate large, multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

  • Strategic approach to planning, risk management, productivity analysis, and commercial performance.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.

  • SMSTS certified, with a valid CSCS card and UK driving licence.

  • High standards in health, safety, and environmental leadership.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a major alliance or joint venture delivery model.

  • Chartered or professionally accredited (ICE, IHT, CMI, etc.).

  • Formal leadership training or qualifications (e.g. ILM).

  • Experience supporting and responding to regulatory audits (e.g. ONR).

  • A strong record of developing emerging talent and mentoring junior staff.

This role offers a rare opportunity to shape and lead major works on a project of national significance. You’ll be joining a highly motivated team, with the tools, backing, and ambition to make a lasting impact.
