We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), supporting the construction of Sizewell C – a state-of-the-art nuclear power station that will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- A strong background in commercial management, negotiation, and legal contracting.
- Proven experience in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects.
- Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or working towards).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage a team and liaise with stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring value for money and high standards.
- Prepare activity schedules, resource schedules, and analyze tender documents.
- Critically appraise, estimate, and negotiate with third parties.
- Monitor subcontract activities and analyze commercial progress.
- Undertake constructability analyses and develop procurement strategies.
- Manage HR/People aspects for direct and indirect reports, including mentoring and professional development.
