Project

Sizewell C is at the heart of the UK’s clean energy revolution. This landmark nuclear power station in Suffolk will provide low-carbon electricity for millions of homes and play a vital role in achieving the UK’s net zero targets. Supported by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver sustainable energy infrastructure at scale.

We are responsible for a range of specialist ground engineering works, including deep soil mixing, plastic cut-off walls, embankments, and load transfer platforms - all of which form essential enabling works for the main power station.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Training & HR Administrator to join VSL’s GSA team at Sizewell C. Working as part of the Training team, you will provide day-to-day administrative support across training, employee records, onboarding and wider HR activities.

You will play a key role in coordinating training requirements for employees and operatives, maintaining accurate training and competency records, supporting new starter mobilisation and providing general HR administration across the project.

Working closely with the Training, HR, Workforce and operational teams, as well as employees, operatives and external training providers, you will help ensure the workforce has the appropriate training, qualifications and competencies required to work safely and effectively on the project.

This is a varied role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced major infrastructure environment.

  • Support the onboarding and mobilisation of new starters, ensuring required documentation, inductions and training are completed.
  • Maintain accurate employee and operative records across relevant HR and project systems.
  • Support starter, employee change and leaver administration.
  • Prepare and issue routine HR documentation and correspondence where required.
  • Respond to general employee and operative queries, escalating more complex matters to the appropriate HR or Training team member.
  • Support the collection and maintenance of employee documentation where required.
  • Assist the HR and Workforce teams with general project administration.
  • Handle employee and business information professionally and confidentially.

Reporting, Systems & Compliance

  • Produce regular training, workforce and HR reports using Excel and internal systems.
  • Ensure appropriate evidence of training, qualifications and competency is maintained and readily available.
  • Support internal, client and external audits by providing accurate training and employee records.
  • Maintain accurate filing and document control of training and HR documentation.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Support improvements to training and HR administrative processes and systems.
