 At Bouygues we require an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor as we expanding our team for a specific project based in Jersey.  Bouygues’ operates an MEP Unbundled strategy, reducing reliance on external suppliers to improve quality, safety, and project control. 

 

Your skills profile should include the following:

  • Previous experience as a M&E Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor/MEP Subcontrcator, focussing on supporting M&E Packages
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Experience covering both pre and post contract
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail/producing accurate work
  • Effective Communicator
  • Shares knowledge with others
  • Managing (M&E) subcontractor packages
  • Effective time manager

 

Role Summary:

Managing commercial aspects of a project. Liaison and collaboration with the construction and design teams in all M&E aspects of contractual activities.  Maximising commercial results and to represent and meet client expectations and encourage repeat business.

 

Key Responsibilities and Roles:

  • Ensure optimum commercial return for the project
  • Accurately prepare cost/value reconciliation reports
  • Agree interim valuations on schedule for commercial advantage
  • Prepare and finalise client accounts with senior management
  • Finalise subcontractor accounts to maximise margins
  • Prepare subcontract orders per company procedures, aligned with procurement schedules and contract programs
  • Control subcontractor accounts and minimise variation costs
  • Manage subcontractor valuations and correspondence
  • Prepare turnover cash flow forecasts, updating and recording actuals as required
  • Submit interim valuations and projected final accounts with each report
  • Evaluate and agree on interim valuations and stage payments
  • Support in resolving delays and document relevant information
  • Report potential problems to the Line Manager and seek guidance
  • Provide feedback to the project team and estimating department
  • Possess knowledge of relevant contracts and assist in resolving disputes
  • Re-measure subcontractor values and arrange payments as per company procedures
  • Attend project meetings as directed
