As part of an ambitious hospital project in Jersey, Bouygues UK / Bouygues Bâtiment we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant. You will ensure financial position of the project is clear and accurate by calculating, documenting and maintaining the appropriate financial information and tools. The role will require regular interaction with site and production teams and the ability to challenge cost and progress information constructively
Your Skills profile should include:
- Degree in management accounting / finance
- Previous experience in management accounting / cost control (2 to 4 years)
- Previous experience of self-delivery is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft office software
- IT skills : use of financial software / cost recording system like SAP or similar
- Excellent at building working relationships
- Pro-activeness: in problem solving and look for improvement
- Working with deadlines
- Effective communication skills
- French Language skills would be advantageous
Scope of role:
Reporting to the senior cost controller of the project you will be in charge of the reporting of the self-delivery as well as the preliminaries.
You will work closely with the production team to unsure a close monitoring of our budget and costs.
You will prepare monthly financial management reports with analysis & do the monthly closure of your scope:
- ensure all costs to date are captured (labour, concrete, steel, materials) and progress is accurate
- reviewing labour hours, timesheets, plant usage and material consumption
- investigating cost variances with the production team
- comparing actual costs with budget, productivity assumptions and progress
You will be responsible for ensuring prompt payment of supplier working with the financial administrator of the project. There will also be responsibility for ensuring compliance with the company’s processes and administrative requirements.
