About the Role: 

 

  • Supporting the implementation of ethics and compliance initiatives across the region, including policies, procedures, communications, and training.
  • Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders at all levels.  Over time and subject to performance, direct contact with C-suite management can be expected.
  • Assisting with day-to-day compliance matters and providing practical support to internal stakeholders, under guidance where appropriate.
  • Supporting compliance risk management activities, including third-party due diligence and reviews relating to gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, sanctions, competition, data privacy, charitable contributions, and sponsorships.
  • Assisting with compliance monitoring and review activities, including periodic checks, documentation, control testing, and preparation of reports or metrics.
  • Supporting internal reviews, audits, investigations, and regulatory examinations, including whistleblowing matters and third-line-of-defense processes, as needed.
  • Conducting legal and regulatory research and helping track relevant developments in the region.
  • Uphold the ‘’spirit’’ of safety, especially in the construction industry context.
  • To act at all times in accordance with the organization’s values and as an ambassador of the group policies in Safety, Sustainability, Ethics and Human Rights.   
  • To be aligned with the organization’s Core Values, including the values of Bouygues Construction.
  • Handle ad-hoc matters, as required.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:  

 

  • A strong interest in developing a career in ethics and compliance, with 2-5  relevant experience in areas such as compliance, legal, audit, risk, regulatory, investigation, consultancy, insurance, public sector, or other related fields.
  • A degree in law, business, finance, accounting, criminology, public administration, or another relevant discipline.
  • Professional qualification(s) as a solicitor, chartered accountant, etc, is not required.
  • Good written and spoken English; an additional Asian language would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with areas such as sanctions, data privacy, or stock exchange / listing rules would be helpful, but are not required.
  • Strong sense of team spirit, ethics and integrity with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to function as a proactive team member and interact with different internal and external stakeholders, whom may be from diverse cultural backgrounds.
