Role Overview
The Plant Technical Coordinator will plan and supervise the assembly, commissioning, and maintenance of VSL’s special foundations equipment on site. Working closely with project teams, the Plant Technical Coordinator will ensure that equipment is operated safely, reliably, and efficiently throughout its lifecycle, while leading and supporting the on-site plant team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning of equipment on site, carrying out inspections and closing punch list items.

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring compliance with VSL’s QHSE and technical standards.

  • Organise daily resources and anticipate additional needs for special interventions.

  • Inspect repaired equipment and materials supplied externally to ensure quality compliance.

  • Support technical decisions, fine-tuning of new plant, and the adaptation of work techniques to site conditions.

  • Propose improvements to enhance performance and reduce running costs.

  • Manage procurement needs and ensure sufficient stock of spare parts.

  • Conduct end-of-site inspections and prepare decommissioning reports.

  • Train new team members on safety and quality standards, and recommend further training for the plant team.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 10 years’ experience in construction projects with heavy machinery in plant technical roles.

  • Strong expertise in hydraulic, mechanical, and DC electrical equipment repairs (AC knowledge is an advantage).

  • Proven experience with small diameter drilling and grouting and/or diaphragm wall equipment.

  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a multicultural team.

  • Highly organised, autonomous, and communicative.

  • Valid driver’s license.
