We are looking for a career-focused individual to join our Post Completion team as an Assistant Post Completion Officer.
Purpose of Role:
In this role you will offer the client/end-user a fast, effective response to the questions, queries and defect issues that arise. You will also be responsible for managing contractors and aftercare teams carrying out post-completion defect works.
Skills & Attributes:
- Your background must be in customer care, with a focus on effect resolution, or aftercare (preferably in construction or housing)
- Highly organised, with strong admin and coordination skills
- Clear, confident communicator — with clients, supply chain, and internal teams
- Comfortable challenging others and maintaining standards
- Attention to detail and proactive in spotting emerging issues
- Commercially aware — understands the importance of logging costs correctly
- Calm under pressure, prioritises effectively, and maintains professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Post Completion Procedures
- Log defects onto Bouygues defects management platform and ensure defects are dealt with as expediently as possible
- Liaise with Contractors / Clients with updates of defects
- Ensure effective team working between the Post Completion Support, Operational Team and wider business functions
- Be objective and proactive in providing timely solutions to problems
- Where appropriate work with operational staff to resolve major items of contention
- Monitor all outstanding tasks weekly and ensure action on ‘overdue defects’, providing support to the Senior Post Completion Officer and Head of Post Completion where necessary
- Provide early warning of future problems /product failures to operational team and supply chain
- Provide weekly update report on defect status
