We are recruiting: Assistant Quantity Surveyor | Civil Works Alliance (CWA)

Are you an ambitious graduate or near-qualified Quantity Surveyor ready to kick-start your career on a landmark UK infrastructure project? We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team supporting the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) in delivering Sizewell C — a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will provide clean, reliable energy to around 6 million homes for the next 60 years.

This role offers the unique chance to work on a complex, high-profile project that will shape the UK’s energy future. You’ll be based either in London or Suffolk, with hybrid working options available, and supported by experienced senior colleagues as you develop your skills and work towards your professional qualification with RICS, ICES, or CIOB.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in managing construction costs and commercial processes for your area of responsibility

  • Gather and analyse construction cost data to support estimating and budgeting

  • Measure, value, and record works in line with established governance and procedures

  • Support weekly and monthly programme planning, gaining exposure to different project schedules

  • Use company systems for cost management, procurement, and contract administration

  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to support effective supply chain management

  • Maintain your Personal Development Plan and work proactively towards professional membership

What We’re Looking For

  • A BSc in Quantity Surveying (essential)

  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a fast-paced, complex project environment

  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and achievement-focused mindset

  • Some relevant work experience or industry knowledge is desirable, but not essential

Why Join Us?

By joining the CWA team, you’re not only starting your career on a major nuclear infrastructure project, but you’ll also be part of a diverse, collaborative environment committed to innovation, safety, and excellence. This is a chance to contribute to a project that matters — delivering sustainable, low-carbon energy for generations to come.
