Join Us as a Document Controller – Supporting Sizewell C’s Future

The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) are recruiting, we are playing a vital role in building Sizewell C — a landmark 3.2-gigawatt power station set to deliver low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes. This project is more than just construction; it’s about powering the UK’s clean energy future for at least the next 60 years.

We’re looking for a dedicated Document Controller to join our Marine and Tunnelling section, based between London and Suffolk. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing critical documents that underpin the successful delivery of this transformative project. Your attention to detail and passion for quality will help ensure that all project documentation complies with stringent standards and flows smoothly between teams, suppliers, and clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing document registration, dispatch, filing, and archiving within the CWA and client EDMS systems

  • Tracking and expediting construction documents and quality records, ensuring completeness and compliance

  • Supporting the Quality Manager with compiling quality records and monitoring project deviations from initiation to resolution

  • Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure document accuracy and timely acceptance

  • Training colleagues and suppliers on document control processes and digital tools

  • Generating progress and compliance reports to keep the project on track

What we need from you:

  • A self-starter with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement

  • Confidence in working independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills to support and train colleagues at all levels, from site teams to senior managers

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn and teach new software tools

  • Experience or interest in digital records management is highly advantageous

If you’re passionate about quality, organised by nature, and eager to contribute to one of the UK’s most significant energy infrastructure projects, I want to hear from you.
