Bouygues UK is a leading construction and property development company in the United Kingdom. We require an I.T. support engineer to join our established team at our offices in Waterloo. We offer a hybrid work pattern. You will be supporting a number of companies with the Bouygues Group in the UK.
Purpose of Role:
To provide 1st and 2nd level IT support for laptop and mobile device users remotely of face to face iat our Head Office. Manage incidents and service requests in OASIS (inhouse system). To respond to user queries promptly and in a polite and a professional manner. To provision and profile computers to issue to users following a new starter or replacement request.
Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support end-users in a professional and empathetic manner
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
Main Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer software, hardware, network, and mobile device issues using available support tools and following procedures remotely or face to face on site (BYCN UK Head Office)
- To ensure that any issues reported via the ticket logging system are responded to and resolved or escalated to other teams correctly in a professional and timely manner
- Take ownership of a problem and liaise with other technical teams (including external suppliers) to resolve customer issues to customer satisfaction or escalate further where appropriate
- Installing various technical applications
- Provide application support and liaise with 3rd party editors to resolve issues (where it is within the agreed scope)
- Provision and profile computers using Microsoft Autopilot following new starter and renewal process
- Packaging equipment for delivery and arranging courier shipments
- Receive & document all goods in (new and returns)
- Disposal/recycling of computers beyond economical repair
- Administrative tasks as part of handling equipment in the context of provisioning new computers, arranging deliveries, processing returns, etc
- To communicate and share information using available communication tools with colleagues and managers effectively
- Adhere to the agreed working arrangements and daily rota as issued by team manager (or delegate/deputy)
