As our Technical Lead focsussing on a Data Centre Project, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical assurance, regulatory management, risk and opportunity management, and digital engineering across various constructioon projects. Your role will ensure that all technical processes and deliverables align with the highest standards, regulations, and client requirements, supporting the successful delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management experience
- Problem Solving & Collaboration: Clear, creative thinking and effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders
- Data Centre Engineering Expertise: Extensive experience in Data Centre design and construction
- Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in UK Regulatory requirements for managing CDM, temporary works, and lifting
- Digital Engineering: Experience implementing digital engineering for project delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Assurance and Governance: Ensure design processes are followed for all technical deliverables, including coordinating and managing designs and methods through staged reviews. Conduct independent assessments to validate process compliance and deliverables.
- Regulatory Management of Temporary Works and CDM: Define and implement management procedures to meet project and regulatory requirements. Provide support and audit compliance, ensuring designs are developed to manage construction risks.
- Technical Risk and Opportunity: Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities throughout the lifecycle. Design out risks and design in opportunities early in the project.
- Digital Engineering: Promote and implement digital engineering tools and processes, collaborating with the PMO Transformation team to improve project delivery.
Your Role in the Bigger Picture:
You will ensure that technical risks are minimized, compliance is maintained, and that the integration of digital engineering enhances the coordination of engineering solutions across different sections of the project. You will also support the technical leadership across teams, working closely with the Technical Director to maintain project excellence.
