About the Role
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day success of the precast production facility. You will be responsible for leading the mechanical function on site, ensuring all fixed plant, equipment and machinery operate safely, reliably and efficiently to support continuous production.
This is a hands-on, operational leadership role where production cannot stop. You will work directly alongside boilermakers and fitters, providing clear direction, technical guidance and on-the-spot problem solving to respond to breakdowns, manage preventative maintenance and drive improvements across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in precast, manufacturing, concrete or heavy industrial production environments
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing mechanical or maintenance teams
- Strong commitment to safety with the ability to lead by example on the floor
- Hands-on, practical supervisor who enjoys being involved in day-to-day operations
- Calm under pressure and effective in environments where production cannot stop
- Strong understanding of fixed plant, preventative maintenance and fault finding
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate tradespeople
- Proactive, accountable and focused on delivering reliable production outcomes
Qualification & Experience
- Background in Mechanical Engineering disciplines
- Strong communication skills with team, Subcontractor, Client, Authorities
