As part of the growing needs in digitalization initiatives to support all the internal and external processes of Dragages construction projects, a Project Data Engineer will work under the Project Data Manager of one of our major construction projects in Hong Kong.
This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented engineer with go-getter and inquisitive mindset to explore a transversal role in the construction industry always looking to improve and build reliable digital solutions for the business.
As part of your assignments, you will support the project digitalization roadmap in 3 main aspects:
- Deploy and maintain technologies applied to construction aligned with client and project requirements (DWSS / SSSS) such as IoT sensors for tracking system, AI camera with various use cases, GPS, photogrammetry, laser scanning, BIM integration, VR usage, …
- Learn and support data integration of external digital platforms through API and other data engineering tools
- Define and setup internal and long-term added-value process within the company
- Animate workshop to understand stakeholders needs
- Research and propose digital solution to answer identified needs according to the construction industry and project constraints
- Document and implement fully the process to validate stakeholder use and value
- Design and build insightful decision-driven visualizations (including PowerBI dashboards)
Thanks to the diversity of the technologies and opportunities, the ideal candidate will face a flexible scope that will develop according to the motivation and interests in any specific technologies, project management functions and / or data engineering skills.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Master degree in civil / engineering / computer science
- Strong digital and analytical skills applied to innovation projects
- Ability to understand front-end users requirements with a problem-solving attitude
- Determination to deliver value regularly on complex assignments, taking inspiration from agile methodology of project management
- Experience in conducting change management
- Basic experience and knowledge in construction strongly recommended
- Proficiency in any mentioned technology
- Experience in data management projects using PowerQuery / SQL database / API / PowerBI / Python / Javascript is a plus
- Fluent in English and Cantonese
