Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

We’re building the future – and I’m looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to help us do it.

As part of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), I’m recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join us at the Sizewell C Project Office – and play a key role in one of the most significant infrastructure programmes of our generation.

Sizewell C will power around 6 million homes with reliable, low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years. It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute to the UK’s clean energy future – and we’re delivering it with the combined strength of Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.

In this role, you’ll be a trusted commercial lead – responsible for managing project costs, enhancing value, and ensuring commercial excellence throughout every phase of delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all commercial aspects across a complex portfolio of civil works

  • Preparing activity schedules, resource schedules, and analysing tender documentation

  • Supporting procurement planning, contract negotiations and subcontractor management

  • Leading on cost forecasting, change control, and earned value reporting

  • Working closely with planning teams to assess programme risks and opportunities

  • Ensuring compliance with governance, procedures and reporting standards

  • Preparing and negotiating claims, variations, and compensation events

  • Mentoring junior commercial staff and supporting recruitment efforts across the team

  • Leading commercial reporting and stakeholder engagement in your area of responsibility

What we are looking for:

  • Chartered (RICS, ICES or CIOB) with a strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure

  • A proven track record managing commercial outcomes on large, complex construction projects

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support and influence others

  • Sound understanding of NEC contracts and commercial risk management

  • Skilled in cost control, reporting, procurement strategy and supplier negotiation

  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with internal and external stakeholders

  • Comfortable working with digital systems and commercial reporting tools

This is more than a job – it’s a chance to shape something that will have a lasting impact for generations. You’ll join a high-performing team that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and solving challenges at scale.
