Job Summary:
 

A W Edwards Pty Ltd are currently seeking a full-time, permanent motivated IT Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the IT team by managing and flagging incoming support requests, monitoring inventory of stock, and ensuring efficient routing of support tickets to the appropriate channels and providing first level technical support to all end-users.
You will be required to provide first level technical support to our staff by answering phone and email queries raised by staff members located both in our office and on our construction sites. It will be your responsibility to address and resolve these issues where you can or otherwise escalate to a higher support level when needed.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

IT Support

 

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Follow through to completion more complex task by working with other team members or escalating to other support options to find a solution for all issues
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and escalate complex technical issues.
  • Liaise with support staff from our parent company to escalate and resolve issues outside of our control.

 

Inventory Management

 

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

 

Ticket Management

 

  • Organize and prioritize support tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Flag and route support tickets to the appropriate channels based on urgency and complexity.
  • Raise support tickets with various vendors or to our internationally based teams for issues that cannot be resolved by local IT teams.

 

Documentation

 

  • Maintain accurate documentation of billing processes, inventory, and support ticket resolutions.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of IT policies and procedures.
  • Continue to develop and maintain IT documentation including user guides for new software and systems.

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including strong communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Basic troubleshooting and fault-finding skills in a Windows Desktop and Server based environment.
  • Good understanding of corporate network structures and applications such Active Directory and Azure
  • Familiarity with both iOS and Android operating systems
  • Basic understanding of computer networks and networking equipment
  • Enrolment in or recently completed Bachelor or Diploma of Information Technology or other relevant qualification.
