The role

We are seeking a Civil Drafter to support civil engineering and bridge construction activities by producing accurate CAD drawings and technical documentation in line with project requirements and specifications. This role supports installations, temporary works, construction sequencing, and ensures drawings meet quality, schedule, and compliance standards.

 

What you’ll do

  • Prepare and update CAD drawings related to site installations and construction progress
  • Develop assembly and dismantling sequences for temporary works
  • Produce kinematic studies for construction equipment and lifting operations
  • Prepare lifting studies for erection of equipment and precast elements
  • Verify geometry, alignment, tolerances, and site constraints in accordance with contract requirements
  • Manage drafting tasks to meet quality standards and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with engineers, site teams, and construction staff to clarify requirements, resolve drawing issues, and incorporate site feedback
  • Maintain drawing registers, manage revisions, and ensure drawings are issues, updated, and archived in accordance with document control procedures
  • Ensure drawings comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and internal drafting standards

 

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant experience in infrastructure projects, with bridge project experience considered an asset
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD design software
  • Knowledge of 3D design tools such as Revit or equivalent considered an asset
  • Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and supporting explanations
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively within a team

The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 CAD annually. The final salary offered for this position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills etc. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhering to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
